Coming from within a rising hedge
\nOf voluptuous white oleander –
\nI sensed a turmoil; one writhe
\nSeduced better than before<\/p>\n
And within the naked boughs
\nOf some palo verde – in a rustle
\nOf few leaves – I thought I saw
\nAmong them a potential<\/p>\n
So quick and sullen, I almost not
\nDeemed it worthy a mention
\nUntil a lone grackle squawked
\nThat vernal suspicion<\/p>\n
Then the wind flirted with a sage
\nWhose mane shimmied – fervid –
\nAs if the breath of Earth had encouraged
